Goose's drummer Jeff Arevalo has exited the band due to personal behavior conflicting with the group's core values. The band made the announcement on Instagram, confirming Arevalo's permanent departure. Despite this change, Goose plans to release their fourth studio album in April and embark on a tour, moving forward with optimism.
The rock band Goose has made a significant lineup change, announcing the departure of drummer Jeff Arevalo following what the group describes as problematic "behavior in his personal life" that contradicts the band's core values.

In a detailed Instagram statement released on Sunday, the band addressed the unexpected split, emphasizing their commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful environment. "We have been made aware of behavior in Jeff's personal life that does not align with the band's core values," the statement read, confirming Arevalo's permanent exit from the group.

Arevalo, who first joined Goose in 2020, initially stepped back from the band at the start of the year, suggesting a temporary hiatus for his "well-being." However, the recent statement indicates a more definitive separation.

The band, now reduced to a four-member ensemble, includes Rick Mitarotonda, Trevor Weekz, Peter Anspach, and Cotter Ellis. Only Weekz and Mitarotonda remain from the original lineup since the band's founding in 2014.

Despite the challenging transition, the group remains optimistic about their future. They are preparing to release their fourth studio album, "Everything Must Go," scheduled for an April debut. Arevalo is credited on the first two singles, "Give It Time" and "Lead Up," though his involvement in the full project remains uncertain.

The band is set to embark on a tour in April, with the members expressing a sense of renewed inspiration. "We're feeling inspired to continue growing as a unit as we move into this next chapter," their statement concluded, reflecting a forward-looking approach to this significant personnel change.

While the specific details surrounding Arevalo's departure remain undisclosed, Goose has made it clear that their decision stems from a fundamental desire to uphold their collective values and maintain the integrity of their musical community.
