Prince Archie, the adorable offspring of Prince Harry and Meghan, is set to turn six on May 6, 2025. Meghan delighted fans with a sweet Instagram post featuring the birthday boy, celebrating this special day. Meanwhile, Prince Harry grapples with legal issues surrounding family security back in the UK, voicing his hesitations about making the trip.
Prince Archie, the eldest child of Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, is celebrating his 6th birthday on May 6, 2025. Born in London in 2019, Archie has grown up far from the spotlight since his parents stepped back from their senior royal duties in 2020.
To mark the occasion, Meghan shared a heartfelt post on Instagram, featuring a photo of Archie gazing out at the ocean, bathed in sunlight. "Our son. Our sun. Happy 6th birthday to Archie!" Meghan captioned the image. "Thank you for all of the love, prayers, and warm wishes for our sweet boy. He’s six! Where did the time go?"
Meghan also expressed her gratitude for those who attended Archie’s birthday party the previous weekend, noting, “Thank you for making his birthday so incredibly special ❤️.”
Though the royal family has remained largely out of public view, Archie’s birthday has drawn attention as it coincides with a time of significant personal and legal challenges for Prince Harry and Meghan. Just days before, Prince Harry faced a legal defeat in his long-standing battle to secure police protection for his family while in the United Kingdom. In an interview with the BBC following the ruling, Harry made it clear that he couldn't envision returning to the UK with his family under the current circumstances. "I can't see a world in which... I would be bringing my wife and children back to the UK at this point," he shared, lamenting the fact that his children would miss out on experiencing his homeland.
Since relocating to California, Harry and Meghan have kept their children, including Archie’s younger sister Lilibet, largely out of the public eye. Meghan’s recent return to Instagram has offered fans a rare glimpse into their family life, with a heartwarming image of Harry holding Archie’s hand while carrying Lilibet on his shoulders.
As Prince Archie enters his sixth year, the family of four continues to navigate the complexities of their new life, balancing privacy with occasional glimpses into their personal world. While their connection to the UK remains a sensitive topic, the love and support surrounding their children is clear, as evidenced by the well-wishes from fans and friends on Archie’s special day.
