Taylor Swift finds herself in hot water over the lawsuit concerning 'It Ends With Us', putting a strain on her relationship with Blake Lively. While some insiders hint at a growing divide, others maintain that their friendship remains intact. Meanwhile, Justin Baldoni's legal team has issued a subpoena for Swift, who insists she has no ties to the film project.
Taylor Swift's involvement in the "It Ends With Us" lawsuit, particularly concerning Blake Lively's legal representation, has reportedly caused friction in Swift and Lively's friendship, according to sources, while Swift's spokesperson denies any involvement in the film's production or creative decisions, and a judge has addressed allegations of misconduct by Lively's lawyer.

A source told People that Taylor Swift and Blake Lively’s friendship has “halted” amid the It Ends With Us lawsuit drama.

The source indicates that “Taylor wants no part in this drama”.

However, another source says they are still “not no longer friends.”

Last week, Justin Baldoni’s lawyers officially subpoenaed Swift regarding the lawsuit.

A spokesperson for Swift responded, stating she has nothing to do with the case.

“Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie, she was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, she did not score the film, she never saw an edit or made any notes on the film, she did not even see It Ends With Us until weeks after its public release, and was traveling around the globe during 2023 and 2024 headlining the biggest tour in history,” the spokesperson said on May 10.

The legal proceedings took another turn when Baldoni’s lawyers alleged misconduct.

They claimed that Michael Gottlieb, Lively’s lawyer, threatened to release “private text messages of a personal nature” if Swift didn’t publicly support her.

Gottlieb refuted these allegations.

“This is categorically false,” Gottlieb fought back in a statement.

“We unequivocally deny all of these so-called allegations, which are cowardly sourced to supposed anonymous sources, and completely untethered from reality.”

On May 15, Judge Liman addressed the situation.

The judge approved Lively’s strike down of the letter and called it “improper” and “irrelevant to any issue before this Court.”

The judge also issued a warning.

The judge added that “Counsel is advised that future misuse of the Court’s docket may be met with sanctions.”

Gottlieb reiterated his denial and vowed to hold the opposing counsel accountable.

Gottlieb concluded: “These claims remain completely untethered from reality — to be clear: The conversations as described did not happen, and we will hold Mr. Freedman accountable for his misconduct.”
