Donald Trump has expanded his global golf empire with a new 18-hole course in Scotland, marking his 18th golf facility worldwide. Trump's courses will play a significant role in professional golf in 2026, hosting both PGA Tour and LIV Golf events. This expansion highlights Trump's continued influence in the luxury golf market and professional tournaments.
US President Donald Trump has further expanded his international golf empire with the recent addition of a new 18-hole course in Scotland. The latest property, located near Aberdeen at Trump International Scotland, opened on July 29 and is set for its official inauguration on August 13. This new course marks the 18th golf facility owned or operated by Trump worldwide, underscoring his enduring passion for the sport and growing presence in the global golf community.

With this expansion, Trump’s golf portfolio now spans across the United States, Scotland, Ireland, and the United Arab Emirates. His diverse collection of luxury golf courses includes prestigious locations such as Trump National Doral in Miami, Trump Turnberry in Scotland, and Trump International Golf Links in Dubai. The strategic global footprint highlights Trump’s ambition to maintain a leading position in the competitive world of golf resorts.

The full list of Trump-owned golf courses features renowned venues in the US like Jupiter and West Palm Beach in Florida, Bedminster in New Jersey, and Rancho Palos Verdes in California. In Europe, the portfolio boasts Trump Turnberry and Balmedie in Scotland, as well as Doonbeg in Ireland. Additionally, Trump has established courses in the Middle East, including Dubai and Muscat, with upcoming projects in Bali, Indonesia.

Looking ahead, Trump-owned courses are set to play a pivotal role in professional golf tournaments scheduled for 2026. For the first time, courses owned by Trump will host both PGA Tour and LIV Golf events within the same year. LIV Golf will return to Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia, for a tournament from May 8 to 10, continuing its tradition of staging events at Trump properties since its inception in 2022.

Meanwhile, the PGA Tour will make a highly anticipated return to Trump National Doral near Miami with an event planned from April 30 to May 3. This tournament may become a high-profile fixture featuring a potential $20 million prize purse. Trump National Doral has a rich history with the PGA Tour, hosting events for over five decades until 2016, and it has also been a significant venue for LIV Golf tournaments in recent years.

The addition of the new Scottish course and the dual hosting of major golf events in Trump properties mark an important chapter in the ongoing evolution of the sport. As Trump’s golf empire continues to grow, his impact on both the luxury golf market and professional tournaments remains substantial.

For golf enthusiasts and industry watchers alike, the expansion signals exciting opportunities and heightened competition in the world of international golf.
